There was a time in my life where I felt like dying would be better than living because of how mentally drained I was. I had never experienced something so exhausting in my life and this piece personifies that struggle. The falling man in this piece obviously symbolizes me, and I am falling from the moon which symbolizes the circumstance that spiraled me into depression. The background is very important in this graphic because it symbolizes my life while I was falling and focused on the negatives of my situation. I "fall" through some beautiful moments in my life because I am so focused on the negative event that transpired before those moments. During this time in my life I was not grateful for the simple beauties life had to offer me. Moreover, this piece has a deeper meaning. The falling man (me) is strategically placed closer to the darker edge of the background to show that when all you do is focus on the negatives you will continue to be surrounded by darkness because you will miss life's elegance. If I had taken the time to observe my life and the people around me I would have realized that there was so much to be thankful for.

My message for anyone that is reading this post and struggling to bounce back from one or more of life's misfortunes is to remain positive. I know that is cliché, but it all starts with your mindset. Your happiness is controlled by you and you only. If you think you are happy, you are happy and it is really that simple. However, I would be lying if I said that this was easy to do because I remember how hard it was for me, which is why I am here for you and more than willing to listen to whatever you have to say.

Everyone needs someone, so let me be there for you.
